Your Impact

We are actively looking to hire a Director Engineering in Supply Chain. This individual will be responsible for continuing to drive AI native SDLC excellence within Supply Chain IT. This individual will lead several engineering teams in developing and delivering agentic solution across the entire Supply Chain ecosystem.
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include: · Strategic Leadership: Define and drive the strategic roadmap for in-app and role-based AI integration across core Cisco Supply Chain systems, establishing best practices for agent security, semantic modeling, multi-agent protocols, and continuous agent learning. · Platform Ownership: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable agentic frameworks (including Langraph, Langchain, LLMs), ensuring enterprise-grade Ask/Respond capabilities that leverage data from a diverse ecosystem of technology platforms. · Legacy System Transformation: Lead a high-performing AI development team charged with the end-to-end transformation of legacy supply chain systems into modern, AI-powered platforms. Guide the migration strategy, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption to business operations while maximizing the value of AI-driven automation. · Enterprise AI Enablement: Guide the architecture and implementation of advanced Natural Language Interaction (NLI) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, empowering stakeholders with actionable insights from enterprise LLMs. · Data Integration Strategy: Champion the development and standardization of secure, high-throughput data connectors (APIs, SDKs, database drivers) for integration with key enterprise databases (e.g., Oracle, SAP HANA, Snowflake, MongoDB), enabling seamless data access for AI solutions. · API and Prompt Engineering Oversight: Set direction for LLM-based prompt engineering frameworks, ensuring robust API design for scalable user input parsing and intent recognition across supply chain scenarios. · Multi-Agent Systems and Integration: Lead the definition and adoption of multi-agent communication protocols (FIPA ACL, MCP, A2A) and integration frameworks, enabling efficient, standardized agent interactions both internally and with external platforms. · Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with business, product, security, and infrastructure leaders to align AI initiatives with broader supply chain and organizational goals, ensuring technology investments deliver maximum business value. · Talent Development and Mentoring: Build, inspire, and develop high-performing engineering teams and senior technical talent, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence. · Industry Leadership: Represent Cisco Supply Chain IT in industry forums and partnerships, influencing best practices and establishing Cisco as a leader in AI-powered supply chain transformation. · Culture: Strong advocate for code quality, agile delivery, and continuous learning across the portfolio.
