Electronic Service Technician - Subsite Electronics Day Shift, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, Monday-Friday Who Are We?   Subsite Electronics, located in Mt. Sterling, KY is a division of The Toro Company. Subsite Electronics provides underground construction professionals the most comprehensive suite of electronic products in the industry, including Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) guidance equipment, utility locators, utility inspection systems, and equipment machine controls.  Sponsorship:   Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of a school/employment or any other visa, regardless of expiration date, now or in the future.  Electronic Service Technician at Subsite Electronics: This employee performs a variety of jobs in the Subsite Electronics repair area.  Primarily, the employee tests, troubleshoots, and repairs products that are sent in for repair. This includes diagnosis, parts sourcing, estimate creation, repair documentation, and various other processes and interactions with Engineers, Product Support, and manufacturing.  What Will You Do?   Analyze and apply information from a variety of sources, including Engineers, Operators, Dealers, BOM’s, Repair History, Schematics, Engineering Change Orders and Quality Reports. Use electronics tools (pliers, screwdrivers, wrenches, cutters, soldering irons, etc.) to build/repair a variety of electronic devices. Use electronic equipment (oscilloscope, volt ohm meters, frequency counters, etc.) to troubleshoot, analyze electronic circuits and correct problems. Disassemble, repair, and assemble electronics products. Establish cost estimates that may include purchased components, manufactured parts and assemblies, and labor time requirements. Help write test and repair procedures. Meet or exceed typical expectations for creativity, productivity, quality of work, and safety. Note: The responsibilities and tasks outlined in this document are not exhaustive and may change as determined by the needs of the company. What Do You Need?   HS diploma or equivalent required. Associate's degree in Electronic Technology, Electronic Engineering Technology, or related discipline preferred. Electronic Service Technician I: 1-3 years of prior experience in an electrical or mechanical industry. Electronic Service Technician II: minimum 3 plus years of prior experience in an electrical or mechanical industry. This role involves independently moving 50-70 lb. equipment, and frequently repositioning these electronic items throughout working on the repair each day.   Have a good work record of self-motivation, judgment, and productivity. Proficiency in reading schematics and related engineering information.  Have appropriate experience building, testing, and troubleshooting electronic assemblies and fixtures. Have effective communication skills, and work well with others. Be willing to work overtime or extra hours as needed.
