We at Johnson & Johnson are recruiting for a Medical Advisor - Oncology, located in Maidenhead, UK This role sits within Medical Affairs and focuses on medical science engagement, clinical research activities, and external collaborator teamwork. The position contributes to the execution of strategy and supports outcomes for patients and the healthcare community! The Medical Advisor is a key member of the cross-functional Therapy Area team, providing high-quality medical leadership, scientific expertise, and strategic input to support patient outcomes, Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), and the NHS. The role partners closely with Medical Affairs, Market Access, Commercial, HEOR, and Regulatory colleagues to develop and execute the local medical strategy Key responsibilities: Build and maintain deep expertise in related therapy area in oncology, staying up to date with clinical and scientific advances through actively engaging with key clinicians and academics. Gather and translate field insights to inform medical strategy and evidence generation Contribute to local evidence generation strategy by identifying data gaps and proposing research initiatives Contribute to the development and execution of the local Medical Affairs plan in related therapy areas Lead or support key medical affairs projects (e.g., advisory boards, scientific exchange, medical education programmes) Collaborate with Market Access colleagues providing medical expertise on Health Technology Appraisal submission(s) Work closely with Commercial, Regulatory, and Global/EMEA teams to ensure aligned strategy and execution Ensure all activities comply with ABPI Code of Practice and company policies Act as medical reviewer/final signatory (if qualified), ensuring scientific accuracy and balance Qualifications GMC registered physician or Pharmacist with UK registration PhD in oncology, immunology, molecular biology, or related discipline MSc with experience in Medical Affairs in pharmaceutical industry Other relevant healthcare qualifications combined with substantial Medical Affairs experience Experience and Skills: Required: Strong project management skills and demonstrated experiences in leading clinical/ scientific programs with a high degree of autonomy Good understanding of ABPI Code of Practice Experience in evidence generation, data interpretation, and scientific communication Ability to learn quickly, build and maintain relationships Preferred: Experience as a Medical Advisor in lung, colorectal, or head and neck cancer preferred Experience supporting Health Technology Appraisal Submissions Johnson & Johnson is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
