 Job Description Lead Operator/ Team Lead Job Overview Team lead is the point person for day-to-day operation support and guidance and works closely with supervisor on issues that need to be escalated. Performs and leads set up, operation, minor and major routine maintenance, preventative maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting of highly complex/highly automated manufacturing equipment. Assists with root-cause analysis activities for process or product exceptions. Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Ensures accurate documentation of all relevant quality, safety and maintenance documents. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves highly complex issues associated with the machine performance and/or product quality. Responsibilities and Duties Team lead is the point person for day-to-day operation support and guidance and works closely with supervisor on issues that need to be escalated. Works within standards and operating procedures to plan, perform, and make decisions regarding the set up and operations of a variety of production equipment, including automated machine processes and controls to perform routine assembly-line production functions of filling, packing, assembling, labeling and inspecting Responsible for complex troubleshooting and problem solving Identifies the need for minor equipment repairs Analyze and evaluate charts, follows simple diagrams, testing, and inspecting procedures Conducts root-cause analysis activities for process or product exceptions Monitor quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Ensures accurate documentation of all relevant quality, safety, and maintenance documents. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves complex issues associated with the machine performance and/or product quality. Conducts minor equipment repairs and identify and resolve equipment problems Assists in planning and controlling the timing of operations Provides support on a regular basis on overall operation and people support Provides training support for on-boarding and/or new procedures Provides support on special projects Provides coaching to associates on day-to-day activities and performance Leads team on special projects and interim coverage for a supervisor Provides continuous improvement recommendations and/or solutions to support overall operational efficiency Demonstrates the ability to follow
