What we are looking for
We're searching for a Network Engineer I to join our Network Engineering team. This is an entry-level role for someone early in their networking career who is eager to learn and grow. You'll help build, operate, and maintain the networks that keep Aurora running — from corporate offices to third-party factories and Aurora Truck Terminal facilities. Working closely with senior network engineers, you'll support day-to-day network operations, assist with deployments, and develop your troubleshooting skills on real-world connectivity challenges at scale. In this role you will Support the configuration, deployment, and maintenance of network infrastructure (switches, routers, wireless access points, and firewalls) across Aurora's offices and facilities, under the guidance of senior engineers. Build foundational knowledge of enterprise network security practices, such as 802.1X and ClearPass Policy Manager (or equivalent NAC solutions). Assist in monitoring network health and performance, responding to alerts, and helping triage and resolve connectivity issues. Help maintain LAN, WLAN, and VPN environments, and support basic changes to routing, switching, and VLAN configurations. Contribute to network documentation, including diagrams, IP address management (IPAM), and standard operating procedures. Assist with basic automation of repetitive network tasks using scripting (e.g., Python) to improve efficiency and consistency. Partner with IT, Security, and other engineering teams to support network-related projects, escalating complex issues to senior engineers as needed. Learn and apply networking best practices, security standards, and Aurora's operational processes as you grow in the role.
