JOB TITLE: Senior Chemist DEPARTMENT: Research and Development SUPERVISOR’S JOB TITLE: Section Manager JOB SCOPE/ SUMMARY: Conduct basic and applied research in emulsion polymers and additives. Design and develop new emulsion polymers. Develop water based additive and test the same for performance in paint. Formulate paint and develop product as per need of market. Prepare, test, and compare experimental samples. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Follow lab safety guidelines and regulations. Ability to develop, improve and customize emulsion polymers/ additive/ paint formulation. Literature survey and understanding latest developments in emulsion polymers/ additive/ paint formulation. Knowledge of patents / search engine. Expect high level of self motivation and excellent communication skills. JOB QUALIFICATIONS: EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION / TRAINING : Educational attainment is equivalent to PhD (Chemistry with either background of Polymer/ Organic). Academic Post Doc experience 0-2 Years. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES RECOMMENDED FOR POSITION: Polymer Knowledge of basic lab skills. Knowledge of chemical lab safety guidelines and regulations. Knowledge of polymer resins synthesis, components (Monomer & Surfactants) and crosslinkers. Preference will be given to candidates with polymer synthesis experience. Organic Knowledge of Organic Synthesis. Analytical Understanding of analytical instruments utilized to characterize polymers.
