The Product Reliability Engineer will be responsible for reliability assessment, validation, and failure analysis of complex mechanical and mechatronics subsystems used in semiconductor equipment. The role focuses on ensuring robust product performance through reliability testing, Design for Reliability (DfR), failure investigations, and qualification of critical subsystems including heaters, robotic handling systems, throttle valves, isolation valves, vacuum chambers, and associated electro-mechanical assemblies. The engineer will work closely with Design Engineering, Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Global Reliability teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Reliability Validation & Qualification Develop and execute reliability validation plans for new product development and sustaining engineering projects. Plan and conduct life testing, robustness testing and safety testing Evaluate reliability performance of mechanical/mechatronics subsystems. Monitor test progress, analyze results, and drive closure of identified risks. Failure Analysis & Problem Solving Perform root cause analysis of product and test failures using structured problem-solving methodologies. Collaborate with design and supplier teams to identify corrective actions. Product Reliability Engineering Participate in Design for Reliability (DfR) activities during product development. Support FMEA/FMECA and reliability risk assessments. Review designs to identify potential reliability concerns and recommend improvements. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with design engineering, systems engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and global teams. Support qualification of new components and supplier changes. Present test findings and reliability recommendations to project stakeholders.
