At a Glance You're a motivated student with a current 3.0 GPA or higher currently pursuing a degree in one of the following areas from an accredited college or university: Computer Science,Data Science This is a paid, full-time, 11-week internship designed to give you real-world experience and meaningful exposure to the telecommunications industry in your chosen field. Internship program runs from May 26 through August 6, 2027. In addition to role-specific projects, you'll take part in professional development sessions, networking opportunities, mentorship and experiences that help you grow personally and professionally. What you can expect in this role As a Spectrum intern, you'll spend the summer working alongside two teams: your respective department and your intern cohort. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You'll spend the other 20% on internship experiences that include a kickoff conference, professional development sessions and networking activities, webinars, community service, cross-functional projects and final presentations. This experience is designed to help you explore your interests, expand your network and leave with a deeper understanding of both your field and the impact of our business. Internship responsibilities may include: Emerging Technology (ET) ideates and builds the next generation of software products and services, turning bold ideas into real technology that reaches customers. As an intern, you'll research, prototype, and develop innovative applications and features — getting hands-on ownership of work that shapes how a product evolves, not just observing from the sidelines. You'll collaborate with engineers and architects across our emerging product portfolio, which may include flagship platforms such as Bryte IQ, giving your ideas a real path from concept to impact. Research emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends, and assess how they could apply to ET's product and platform roadmap. Design, prototype, and build proof-of-concept applications and features, iterating quickly based on feedback from engineers and product stakeholders. Partner with engineers, architects, and product managers on active development projects — potentially including Bryte IQ — contributing code and design ideas under their guidance. Document research findings, technical designs, and prototype outcomes, and present them to the team to help inform product decisions. Participate in testing, debugging, and refining features to ensure they're ready for real-world use.

Required qualifications

Must be a rising senior with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028 Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a bachelor's degree Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program Ability to travel locally to Spectrum intern development events and activities throughout the program Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship Preferred Qualifications Software Development: Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript,TypeScript). AI/ML: Basic
