The goal is to unlock the full potential in each colleague – empowering our people to grow as insurance professionals and add more value to our customers and AIG.   How you will create an impact As Delegated Underwriting Authority Client Executive, you will support the Delegated Underwriting Authority Lead, Pacific in strengthening the governance, oversight and performance management of delegated underwriting and managing general agency arrangements across Australia and New Zealand. This role will help ensure DUA (Delegated Underwriting Authority) and MGA (Managing General Agents) partners are onboarded, monitored and managed in line with AIG’s underwriting standards, risk appetite, conduct expectations and local regulatory obligations, including APRA CPS 230 requirements for material service provider and operational risk management.   You will work closely with underwriting, distribution, operations, legal, compliance, risk, claims, finance, regional and global stakeholders to maintain disciplined governance across the DUA and MGA lifecycle, from due diligence and approval through to ongoing monitoring, issue management, renewal and exit.   Key accountabilities will include, but are not limited to: Support the Delegated Underwriting Authority Lead, Pacific in implementing and maintaining a robust governance framework for delegated underwriting and MGA arrangements across the Pacific region. Coordinate due diligence, approval, renewal and exit activities for DUA and MGA partners, ensuring required documentation, approvals and accountabilities are complete and well controlled. Monitor DUA and MGA performance against underwriting authority, risk appetite, product parameters, service standards, conduct expectations, claims performance and financial outcomes. Support CPS 230-aligned oversight of material DUA and MGA service provider arrangements, including operational resilience, materiality assessment, service performance, issue escalation and exit planning requirements. Maintain clear governance records, management information, committee papers and reporting to enable timely oversight, decision-making and escalation of emerging risks or control gaps. Partner with underwriting teams to ensure delegated authority, binder, bordereaux and agreed service arrangements are understood, appropriately monitored and operating as intended. Identify and support remediation of governance, control, data quality, reporting, compliance or performance issues relating to DUA and MGA arrangements. Contribute to continuous improvement of DUA and MGA processes, templates, reporting and operating practices, balancing commercial outcomes with prudent underwriting, risk and regulatory discipline.   What you’ll need to succeed Experience in delegated underwriting, MGA, binder, coverholder, underwriting governance, insurance operations, risk, compliance or related insurance disciplines. Sound understanding of insurance underwriting controls, delegated authority management, due diligence, ongoing monitoring, issue escalation and partner performance oversight. Working knowledge of governance and regulatory expectations relevant to outsourced, delegated or third-party insurance arrangements, including APRA CPS 230 and related operational risk, resilience and service provider obligations.
