JOB SUMMARY
Experienced professional in ship structure, marine systems, and onboard safety responsible for supporting newbuild (NB) project development and overseeing plan approval across multiple vessels and brands. Works closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to monitor project progress, ensure deadlines are met, and align technical and contractual requirements. Manages design engineering and site plan approval teams, tracks project status, and communicates risks and updates to stakeholders while contributing to the development of technical specifications from initial concept through final vessel delivery.
POSITION
RESPONSIBILITIES Support the Director and Senior Manager, Hull, Marine Systems & Safety in reviewing drawings, plans, and technical specifications during the plan approval process and meetings with builders and makers Assist with project development, including technical specification review and preparation, in coordination with builders and makers Track and follow up on open items from the plan approval process with shipyard representatives Participate in meetings with shipyard technical offices to discuss and resolve outstanding issues Provide updates on plan approval progress, open item status, and key risks or issues to leadership Collaborate with Vessel Operations teams both at the shipyard and in Miami during project development and approval phases Conduct periodic visits to shipyards to verify alignment between project requirements and production Participate in testing activities, including Test Memo processes, sea trials, and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) as requested Attend selected meetings and visits with equipment makers and vendors as needed Support leadership during the vessel delivery phase to ensure successful project completion QUALIFICATIONS DEGREE TYPE: Bachelor's Degree FIELD(S) OF STUDY: Enter text here.
EXPERIENCE
5 years within a similar role or shipbuilding technical projects development. COMPETENCIES & SKILLS Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Confident using Autocad Proficient in the English Language (B1 or above) Demonstratable Team Working Skills Excellent Communication Skills Technical Proficiency within Ship’s Structure, Marine Systems and Safety on board Ability to Manage and Build Relationships Time Management Availability to travel CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES Driver License ABOUT NCLH Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.
