**_About This Role_**

We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for:

+ Lead and manage all Software Engineers within the **Munitions group** in the Textron Systems Weapons division\.

+ Ensure adequate staffing levels for Software Engineers, including:

- Managing full\-time employees, co\-ops, interns, and contractors\.

- Forecasting needs to meet program and organizational requirements\.

- Performance management: establishing objectives, conducting reviews, and providing feedback\.

- Facilitating regular communication: hosting meetings, resolving issues, and mentoring team members\.

- Developing detailed skills planning and providing training opportunities to enhance capabilities\.

- Review and approval of software architecture and requirements development\.

- Ensuring deliverables meet internal quality expectations and customer requirements\.

- Analysis of quality metrics related to process compliance and overall team performance\.

- Gathering and addressing feedback from internal and external stakeholders\.

+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities\.

* Bachelor’s degree \(B\.S\.\) in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience, OR Master’s degree \(M\.S\.\) in Engineering with a minimum of 8 years of experience\.

+ Strong knowledge of embedded and application Software Engineering processes, tools, and best practices\.

+ Familiarity with Agile Software Development methods and tools\.

+ Understanding of Model\-Based Engineering practices\.

+ Experience with process improvement methodologies is preferred\.
