Northrop Grumman Defense Systems currently has an opening for a Principal Configuration Analyst . This position is located in Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure. What You'll Get To Do: - Facilitate and document Configuration Control Boards, Technical Review Boards, and Change Boards. - Establish, maintain, and audit configuration-management libraries for documents, software, and hardware items. - Plan and coordinate preparation, review, and release of engineering drawings, production specifications, schedules, and contract modifications to ensure compliance with contract requirements. - Administer change processes, including change-order creation, authorization, status tracking, and integration with engineering, quality, and mission-assurance functions. - Manage the full lifecycle of change packages—from initiation through closure—verifying implementation and updating status records. - Perform configuration status accounting, generate metrics, and produce reports on baseline maturity and item status. - Conduct configuration audits and verify correct marking of documents per contract and corporate guidance. - Execute contract and supplier data-requirement activities, including planning, scheduling, delivery, and maintaining Supplier Statements of Work and Supplier Requirements Documents. - Support development, enhancement, and maintenance of configuration-management and data-management tools. - Provide technical configuration liaison with senior internal and external stakeholders, delivering presentations and coordinating cross-functional resolution of configuration issues. Basic Qualifications: - Bachelors degree from an accredited university and 5 years of relevant experience, OR a Masters degree and 3 years of relevant experience, OR a PhD and 1 year of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of a degree. - Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years. - Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a
