Lead Accountant (Oracle ERP | Advanced Excel & Pivot Tables | AI/Automation | Alteryx Preferred)

Lead Accountant, Assurant, GCC-India This job is responsible for the general accounting financial close deliverables of Lifestyle Global Accounting which include recording journal entries, completing account reconciliations, processing disbursements and assisting the financial accounting/analysts in researching management and auditor questions. This position will be in Hyderabad/Bangalore/Chennai at our India location. Work hours: 5:30 PM – 2:30 AM IST (Evening Shift) What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job? Obtain basic understanding of insurance accounting, terminology and assigned warranty programs. (5%) Complete all standard journal entries to reflect business for warranty programs on a timely basis ensuring adequate support and approvals. (35%) Complete all assigned account reconciliations on a timely basis ensuring account reconciling items are resolved on a timely basis. (30%) Collaboration and timely follow-up with various departments regarding required information to research/ resolve outstanding issues. (10%) Prepare wire/ACH transfer, check requests as needed to support business operations with appropriate approvals. (5%) Assist in other tasks as assigned such as providing information for audit requests to financial analysts to answer ad hoc questions on financial results.  (5%) Develop and maintain procedural standard operational procedures outlining and detailing all  required tasks of the position including support of AI/automation initiatives. (10%) Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the company. What are the requirements needed for this position? Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or other accounting/finance related field 3 – 5 years general accounting experience Experience in JE processing, ledger reconciliations, and general accounting Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, detailed oriented Strong technical accounting/problem solving skills and attention to accuracy Strong ability to be well organized while managing multiple projects simultaneously, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities  Proficient with Microsoft Office tools including Excel and Word PeopleSoft, Oracle, Smartstream or other general ledger ERP system experience preferred Insurance Accounting and Alteryx experience would be a plus Good work ethics What are the preferred requirements needed for this position?
