The team’s charter is to enable AI transformation and product growth in the most cost-efficient way possible. This role will be responsible for the 3P hosting and online infrastructure for GitHub. We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager - GitHub, AI Infrastructure and Hostingr in Core AI team to partner closely with engineering, finance and PM teams within GitHub to track and drive insights into 3P hosted capacity and online infrastructure optimization opportunities. This work will enable improvements in structural costs, support continued market share growth, and drive sustained improvement in product margins. The role also partners with planning teams across revenue, supply chain, procurement, and GPU demand and capacity management to optimize total cost of ownership end to end. It's an unique opportunity that directly shapes forward looking cloud investment decisions and builds cross functional collaboration to land meaningful impact Responsibilities Own end-to-end planning, forecasting, and analysis of GitHub's 3P hosting and online infrastructure Track and drive insights on key 3P hosting trends and continue to evolve automation and analytical frameworks Identify 3P hosting & online infrastructure optimization levers across the GitHub AI and Non-AI portfolios to help drive sustained product margin improvement Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to embed margin accountability into roadmap and prioritization Partner with product and engineering teams to plan and execute a cost-optimized long-range plan for GitHub infrastructure, including Capex planning, forecasting, and reporting Deliver executive-ready insights (MBRs, reviews, ad hoc deep dives) with clear narratives on drivers, risks, and actions Establish governance and operating cadence to track costs and margins, ensure accountability, and accelerate decision-making Qualifications Required/minimum qualifications Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience. Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year.
