Job Description
What awaits you?
Responsible for sourcing, supplier management and purchasing activities across Asia for BMW Motorrad production and future motorcycle projects. Identify, develop and manage suppliers to achieve best-in-class quality, cost and delivery performance. Lead sourcing processes, supplier selection, RFQ activities, commercial negotiations and contract awards. Drive localization, industrialization and supplier development initiatives throughout the region. Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships and represent BMW Motorrad towards suppliers and management stakeholders. Cooperate closely with Engineering, Quality, Logistics, Production, Finance and global BMW Group Purchasing functions. Monitor supply markets, identify sourcing opportunities and mitigate supply chain risks. Support new product launches and ensure sustainable supplier readiness. Contribute to cost optimization, competitiveness and long-term supply chain resilience. Manage cross-functional and international projects in a dynamic and intercultural business environment. Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned with BMW Group objectives and future business requirements. Drive supplier innovation and support the introduction of new technologies, materials and manufacturing processes.
What should you bring along?
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or international business background ,Supply Chain Management, or a related field Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in the automotive industry, preferably within international purchasing or supplier management. Experience in Material planning and shortage management. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders. Basic understand of SAQ 5.0 or relevant, ISO/IATF 16949 or VDA 6.3. Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Good communication in English
