About the job
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Manual QA Tester to join our quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the functionality, reliability, and usability of our software products by conducting rigorous manual testing. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to identify, document, and resolve issues before deployment.
Responsibilities
Perform manual testing of web applications to ensure quality standards. Develop, document, and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts based on project requirements. Identify, document, and report defects, inconsistencies, and usability issues in bug tracking systems. Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and verify bug fixes. Conduct regression, functional, integration, usability, and exploratory testing. Participate in requirement analysis to understand software functionality and business logic. Utilize project management tools such as ClickUp or Jira to manage tasks, track bugs, document testing activities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in software testing. Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide support for production releases. Provide detailed test reports, summaries, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 1+ years of experience in manual testing of web applications is a plus but not required. Strong understanding of software testing life cycle (STLC) and defect life cycle. Experience with ticketing/tracking systems like JIRA. Knowledge of different testing methodologies, including black-box, white-box, and exploratory testing. Ability to analyze and troubleshoot software defects effectively. Basic understanding of databases and SQL queries. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work in an agile environment and adapt quickly to change.
Preferred Skills
Experience in API testing using tools like Postman. Basic knowledge of automation testing frameworks is a plus. Experience with ticketing, issue-tracking, or project management tools such as Jira, ClickUp, or similar platforms . Understanding of performance and security testing concepts.
