About this role
Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity. Export Control : This position requires that the candidate selected be a U.S. Citizen in order to comply with U.S. government-imposed requirements related to the nature of the work and/or where it will be performed. We are seeking a Senior Manager, PMO and Transformation to lead delivery excellence across Amazon Leo's SAP and enterprise applications portfolio. This role owns the end-to-end delivery lifecycle: portfolio strategy, program execution, project management, release governance, and financial and vendor management. You ensure that process and technology investments translate into measurable business value through disciplined execution, effective change management, and rigorous governance. This role reports to the Head of SAP and operates as the Delivery Excellence function within the broader SAP organization. You partner with Process and Business Excellence (who defines what to build and why), SAP IT/COE (who designs and builds solutions), and SAP Reporting/Analytics (who delivers insights), ensuring that demand flows efficiently from business need through delivery to value realization. Key job responsibilities Portfolio Strategy & Demand Management: Own the consolidated SAP portfolio view — strategy, prioritization, business case validation, and demand intake — ensuring all initiatives have clear scope, funding, and alignment before entering the delivery pipeline. Capacity & Resource Planning: Match portfolio demand against internal and external resources, identify gaps, and provide data-driven recommendations on staffing, sequencing, and trade-offs when demand exceeds capacity. Program & Project Execution: Lead cross-functional program planning and execution, manage dependencies across concurrent workstreams, and ensure all projects adhere to standards for scope, schedule, budget, and reporting. Risk & Governance: Maintain RAID logs, drive mitigations, escalate blockers, and establish governance cadences including steering committees, milestone gates, and decision forums across portfolio, program, and project levels. Release & Change Management: Own release planning, operate the Change Advisory Board, govern deployment processes through dev/quality/production environments, and manage transport and environment scheduling. Financial Management: Develop and track annual budgets, produce monthly forecasts, drive cost optimization through vendor consolidation and rate negotiation, and deliver financial reporting including ROI tracking and variance analysis. Vendor & SI Management: Govern vendor contracts, manage SOWs, conduct performance scorecarding, ensure deliverable accountability, and oversee resource quality across all external partners. Delivery Excellence & Capability Building: Establish PMO standards and templates, drive continuous improvement through retrospectives, and build organizational delivery capability across Agile, hybrid, and waterfall methodologies.
