Join Klinge Corporation as an Embedded Systems Engineer ! As an Embedded Systems Engineer, you will support the design, development, testing, and optimization of embedded software for advanced cutting-edge Telematics and IoT-enabled solutions. This role partners closely with cross-functional hardware, firmware, and software teams to deliver reliable, high-performance, and connected products. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in embedded C/C++ development, real-time systems, hardware integration, and troubleshooting complex system interactions. This is a full-time, in-office role based in York, PA , with the Engineering team working Monday through Friday, including a half day on Fridays to support work-life balance!  What will you do: Lead and participate in the architecture, implementation, testing, and debugging of embedded firmware and drivers. Drive the design, development, and maintenance of embedded software solutions using C/C++ for real-time applications. Integrate connectivity technologies including Controller Area Network (CAN), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and cellular communication into embedded systems. Perform code reviews, participate in peer programming, and adhere to best practices for embedded development. Ensure compliance with industry standards for reliability, security, and performance. Document designs, processes, and changes in accordance with internal procedures. Troubleshoot complex system issues involving hardware, firmware, and software interactions. Support product validation, field testing, and product deployment activities.

What you will bring

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in programming, testing, data acquisition, electronic systems, and PCB design. Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded and real-time applications. Hands-on experience developing, debugging, and troubleshooting embedded systems on target hardware. Experience with preemptive, multitasking real-time operating systems. Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and component datasheets. Strong documentation, collaboration, and communication skills. Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to succeed in a dynamic team environment. Flexible, friendly, and adaptable in a team-based culture. Demonstrated proficiency in hardware design and embedded software development, including C/C++ and PCB design using Orcad. Knowledge of commercial software qualification standards for process-related or embedded systems. Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software engineering principles.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience interfacing with and controlling three-phase electrical systems. Experience with PIC 8-bit and 16-bit microcontrollers and/or iMX93 system-on-module platforms. Experience
