The Role and Team The Digital Experience Analytics (DXA) Data Insights team is responsible for analysing the collected raw data and computing all the signals, scores and metrics which provide analytical insights to our customers. We own our services end-to-end, from the planning to the deployment stage, including maintenance and constant improvements. We collaborate closely with every other team within the DXA Engineering department. As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will be a key contributor to our back-end stack, your daily job will range from addressing customers' bugs to working on major improvements on our current infrastructure. You will plan your tasks together with the team on a biweekly basis and you’ll be expected to take initiative in problem solving, as well as help the other team members.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain Java (21) / Spring Boot microservices and shared libraries used across the team. Develop and operate Apache Flink stream-processing jobs that handle high-volume session and event data. Build Kafka-based producers/consumers and the utilities that standardize them across services. Contribute to internal frameworks (multitenant Spring framework, task frameworks, REST clients) that other teams build on — quality and backward compatibility matter here. Integrate services via REST APIs and internal clients; help keep versions and dependencies consistent across a multi-repo Maven landscape. Help drive the ongoing Java 21 migration and keep the platform on modern, supported dependencies. Write tests, participate in code reviews, and support your services in production (observability, on-call as the team matures). Availability may be required outside of core hours Candidates based in the Mexico City vicinity will be prioritized as this role is Hybrid, 3 days per week onsite.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Java Development: Professional experience (5+ years) developing backend microservices in Java (Java 17 or higher). Spring Framework: Hands-on experience building production applications using the Spring / Spring Boot framework. Build & Dependency Management: Experience managing multi-module projects and dependencies using Maven. Streaming Technologies: Demonstrated experience working with Apache Kafka (or similar) with distributed data systems (Flink, Spark) Relational Databases: Experience designing data models and writing/optimizing queries for relational databases (e.g., MySQL). API: Proven experience of building and consuming REST APIs. Production Operations: Experience writing automated tests, debugging code, and supporting services in production environments. Code Quality & Collaboration: Experience participating in code reviews and collaborating across multi-repository software projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with multitenant SaaS architectures. Exposure to cloud deployment and containerized infrastructure. Experience migrating large codebases across major Java/Spring versions.
