Software Development Manager, Managed Platform Experience - MPE

The Managed Platform Experience team manages several Tier-1 services including Apollo Cloud Control to provision and scale infrastructure for other Amazon teams, in place host patching (Quilt), and custom AMI baking solutions. We also own DJS. We eliminate builder toil so engineers can focus on solving customer and business problems without worrying about their deployments, safety, hosts management, or capacity scaling. We own runtime experience for Amazon builders, providing safe and scalable solutions for both human developers and automated systems. Our products create a low-friction path from post-build artifacts to reliable and safe production deployments. We design for Amazon-scale while ensuring our tools are easy to use correctly and safe for automated agents to invoke. You will join a diverse team of software engineers working to improve builder velocity, reduce operational risk, scale automation safely, and maximize the value of existing tooling investments. You will collaborate with teams across Amazon and AWS to reduce builder toil at the lowest cost, in a culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them through completion.
