Automation Engineer - Student Description - We are looking for a motivated, tech-savvy student to join our Automation Team as an intern Automation Engineer . This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in real-world software engineering while applying your academic knowledge to complex products and testing environments. You will work closely with experienced engineers to maintain, improve, and expand our automated testing ecosystem, while gradually taking ownership of automation projects. What You’ll Do Infrastructure & Test Environments: Learn to deploy, configure, and maintain complex product environments involving hardware, simulators, software, and network configurations. Automation Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Analyze daily test failures, investigate logs and test results, identify root causes, and determine whether failures are related to the product, test environment, or automation code. Automation Development: Develop and maintain automated test scripts and gradually expand test coverage by converting manual test procedures into reliable and efficient automated solutions. Continuous Improvement: Monitor test results using tools such as Report Portal, identify trends and flaky tests, and implement improvements to increase the stability and reliability of the automation suite. AI-Driven Development: Leverage modern AI-powered development and test-generation tools to accelerate automation development, improve productivity, and focus on validating test logic and quality. Collaboration: Work closely with software engineers, QA engineers, and other technical teams to investigate issues, improve test coverage, and contribute to the overall quality of our products. What You’ll Bring Currently pursuing a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field . At least 2 years remaining in your studies – a must. Academic or project experience with Java and/or C#. Experience using AI-powered coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor – an advantage. Basic knowledge of automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and software/product architecture – an advantage. Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI, particularly their application to software development or testing – an advantage. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a curiosity to investigate failures, analyze logs, and identify root causes. A proactive mindset and willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and complex systems. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of an engineering team.
