We are seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer (Site) to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will oversee structural engineering operations on-site, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance throughout all construction phases. You will serve as a technical authority, making critical decisions that impact project success while collaborating closely with architects, contractors, and project management teams. This position offers the opportunity to lead structural engineering initiatives on significant construction projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Conduct comprehensive structural inspections and quality control assessments throughout all construction phases to ensure compliance with approved designs and local building codes Analyze structural performance data and field conditions, providing technical recommendations and solutions to address design or construction challenges Prepare and review detailed technical documentation, including inspection reports, structural calculations, and compliance certifications Supervise and coordinate structural work activities on-site, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and safety protocols Collaborate with design teams to evaluate design modifications and assess their structural implications Manage material testing and verification processes, ensuring all structural components meet specified standards and quality requirements Conduct site meetings and communicate technical findings to stakeholders, contractors, and project teams in a clear and professional manner Mentor junior engineering staff and provide technical guidance on structural engineering matters Maintain organized records of all structural inspections, test results, and project documentation Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, regulations, and industry best practices throughout the project lifecycle Qualifications Minimum 10 plus years of professional structural engineering experience, with at least 5 years in site-based roles Proven expertise in structural analysis and design for concrete and steel structures Advanced proficiency with structural analysis software (STAAD Pro, SAP2000, or equivalent) Strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Building Information Modeling (BIM) software Comprehensive understanding of UAE building codes, international standards, and construction regulations Demonstrated experience in site inspection, quality control, and structural compliance verification Additional Information At AECOM, we are committed to maintaining a secure and trustworthy recruitment process and take any fraudulent hiring activity seriously.
