Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. As a Financial Analyst, your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Working on multiple projects at a time, you are focused on the details while finding creative ways to take on big picture challenges. As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support. The GCS Americas Ads Finance team partners with sales and cross-functional leadership to provide analytical insights and recommendations on revenue growth drivers and key business decisions for GCS Americas. We are responsible for core operations such as delivering insights on revenue performance, supporting quarterly quotas and act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on topics such as risks and opportunities, market acceleration plans and resource allocation. In this role, you would be the Finance MMS Commerce Analyst in the GCS AMER Programs Finance team, based in Mountain View or New York and will play an integral role in the operations and strategic decision-making of the AMER MMS commerce business. You will support and inform AMER Commerce business performance and strategic priorities and will support sales strategy operationalization from a finance perspective. You will deliver performance insights, in partnership with cross-functional partners to support AMER MMS Commerce priorities and act as trusted advisor to leadership and AMER GCS RVP on core strategic topics. Drive business strategy and accountability across GCS Americas MMS Commerce, through effective delivery of key program insights on drivers of performance. Act as a trusted advisor primarily to the US MMS Commerce VP and Commerce sales leaders from other markets (i.e., Canada, Brazil and SPLA) on business performance, with a focus on key growth drivers. Provide thought leadership and actionable insights on incremental revenue growth. Collaborate with cross functional teams, specifically AMER Revenue Strategy and Operations (AMER RSO) and AMER Product Sales Activation (PSA) for a deeper understanding of drivers of performance. Support activation of key sales strategies through regular tracking and monitoring of progress. Communicate insights effectively to senior audiences by simplifying technical complexity and through clear narratives focusing on the “bigger picture” and actionable insights.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience. 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function. Experience executing full-cycle financial planning and analysis functions including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and modeling within a multinational company setting. Preferred qualifications: Experience using SQL to extract and manipulate data, building reporting dashboards. Demonstrated track record of effectively partnering with technical, business and ops stakeholders.
