Summary Job Description Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for inspection of parts which have been removed/repaired from turbine jet engines to determine the reparability/serviceability of these parts. The functions include visual and dimension inspection. Must be able to perform a variety of inspections and report to different shifts as assigned.
Essential Responsibilities
The inspector's initial, signature or stamp entered on the required forms indicated that he/she has inspected the part and found it to meet the requirements of approved Customer/Manufacturer's specifications, Work Order and Supplemental Engineering instructions and the requirements of the Repair Station Manual. Responsible for having a through understanding in the required functions and specifications applicable to each part to repair release to service, including customer work scope and preference. Responsible for compliance with the requirements of the Repair Station Manual and Company Policies and Procedures Manual. Tests products for structural defects such as leaks and internal cracks. Tests mechanisms for clearance and freedom of movement. Must adhere to and follow all safety procedures, i.e., lock-out/tag-out; report safety concerns, use appropriate PPE as required, and follow similar safety practices. Responsible for meeting all quality assurance standards of the product. Performs other job duties as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements Position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with two (2) to three (3) years job related experience and/or training in Inspection or in a related production environment. Requires the use of measuring instruments, such as scales, micrometer, calipers, dial indicators, gages, etc. Must be able to comprehend and interpret technical documents listed above and have general knowledge of data entry This role may encounter high risk or hazardous operations and/or include working shifts beyond a standard workweek. As such, a requirement of the role is to be at least 18 years of age by the time of joining. Desired Characteristics Associate's Degree with (1) one to (2) two years previous inspection experience and extensive knowledge of inspection process and tool use highly desirable. Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Therefore, employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person as one of the following: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. Citizen, have been granted asylee or refugee status (i.e., a protected individual under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)).
