About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Corporate Banking Analyst to join Wells Fargo’s CIB. The Analyst will join and grow one of the industry’s leading Financial Institutions practices, which covers insurance, asset managers, market structure, and specialty finance companies. The Analyst will be focused on supporting the credit underwriting and portfolio monitoring of Wells Fargo’s non-bank financial institutions portfolio. In this role, you will: Participate in structuring and executing transactions and supporting Portfolio Managers with financial and credit analysis for a portfolio of loans within Financial Institutions Build and maintain financial models for new and existing credits, including sensitivity and downside cases, and check model outputs for accuracy Prepare first drafts of credit approval documents and supporting exhibits — including due diligence summaries, risk analysis, risk rating templates and return analysis — for review by the Portfolio Manager Support credit underwriting work, accounting for all risk factors and preparing the supporting analysis for risk rating recommendations Review and interpret credit policies and procedures and incorporate requirements into credit analysis, observations and lending recommendations Provide ongoing monitoring and maintenance of the portfolio, liaising with back office and middle office teams on day-to-day operational matters Develop presentation materials for client meetings and internal discussions; support follow-up items with a client after a call through to resolution to support the broader deal team Work with more senior staff to present recommendations for growing and maintaining a portfolio of profitable clients in FIG through proactive, strategic and consistent business development and client retention Prepare and maintain recurring management reporting, transaction databases and comparable transaction files for the team Escalate identified issues, covenant and reporting exceptions, and data discrepancies to the Associate or Portfolio Manager on a timely basis Collaborate and consult with peers, internal partners and stakeholders Required Qualifications: 6+ months of Corporate Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education Desired Qualifications: Undergraduate degree (Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting or similar) from a four-year accredited college or university Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills Strong financial modeling, credit, accounting and technical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic, fast paced and complex environment Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills Demonstrated excellence in working effectively as an individual and as part of a team Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills High level of initiative and accountability Experience with contributing to project teams Collaborative mindset and ability to work with team members who are in different locations Ability to act with integrity, good character and exercise sound judgement Job Expectations: Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position.
