Microsoft’s FSI Strategic Accounts team partners with leading banks, insurers, and capital-markets organizations to turn these forces into measurable business outcomes. You will help customers modernize critical platforms, improve resilience and trust, empower employees, and responsibly scale AI while building enduring executive partnerships. As a Strategic Account Executive for Financial Services, you will own the overall customer relationship and growth strategy for one of Microsoft’s most strategic FSI accounts. You will lead a broad virtual account team, engage senior business and technology executives, and connect customer priorities to the full Microsoft portfolio across Azure, AI and Copilot, security, data, and modern work. You will translate complex transformation priorities into a focused account plan, create and progress large multi-year opportunities, and ensure customers realize value through adoption and consumption. This opportunity will allow you to deepen your financial-services industry expertise, sharpen your executive and value-selling capabilities, and lead complex commercial strategies across a highly matrixed organization. Success requires curiosity, customer obsession, disciplined execution, and the ability to orchestrate specialists, partners, engineering, and services around a clear set of customer outcomes. Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end account strategy and business plan for a strategic financial-services customer, aligning Microsoft investments to the customer’s highest-priority business, technology, risk, and regulatory outcomes. Build trusted relationships with C-suite, business, technology, security, data, and procurement leaders; create executive sponsorship and a shared multi-year transformation agenda. Lead and empower a diverse virtual account team across solution areas, customer success, engineering, services, partners, and support, establishing clear priorities, accountability, and operating rhythm. Create, qualify, and progress a healthy portfolio of large and complex opportunities across Azure, AI and Copilot, security, data, and modern work, balancing near-term commitments with long-term growth. Develop compelling value propositions, business cases, and commercial strategies that connect Microsoft capabilities to measurable outcomes such as growth, productivity, resilience, risk reduction, and improved customer and employee experiences. Drive competitive strategy and disciplined execution across the customer lifecycle, from pipeline creation and deal orchestration through deployment, adoption, consumption, and value realization. Apply deep FSI market knowledge to anticipate customer needs, navigate regulatory and operational complexity, and bring relevant Microsoft, partner, and industry innovation to the account.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience working in an industry (financial services) and/or driving digital transformation OR Master's Degree AND 9+ years experience working in an industry (financial services) and/or driving digital transformation OR 13+ years experience in working in an industry (financial services) and/or driving digital transformation OR equivalent experience. 6+ years experience making recommendations to and/or collaborating with mid-to-senior level executives. 8+ years experience
