The Product Development and Test Engineering organization supports design validation, silicon characterization, production test development, and high-volume manufacturing readiness for leading-edge products built on advanced semiconductor process technologies. The Automotive Product and Test Engineering group is responsible for the various phases in the lifecycle of integrated SOC’s and QAM’s used in IVI, ADAS & Telematics automotive applications. The selected candidate will support the new product introduction (NPI) to production and return material analysis. This includes verification & validation, characterization, qualification, development of high-volume manufacturing solutions, and customer support. The selected candidate will work with global cross functional teams (SW, System and HW Design, Test, Operations and other engineering organizations) to provide engineering test solutions to drive products to commercialization and production manufacturing.   Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Applies hardware knowledge and experience to plan, verify and optimize test cases, hands on work on ATE, ATE HW/SW development, PVT characterization, System correlation, data analytics using AI/ML tools. Integrates features and functionality into hardware designs & test in line with proposals or roadmaps. Collaborates with teams (e.g., design, verification, validation, software and systems engineering, architecture development teams, etc.) to implement new requirements and incorporate the latest test solutions in the production program to improve the yield, test time, and quality. Evaluates, characterizes, and develops the manufacturing solutions for leading edge products and bring-up product to meet customer expectations and schedules. Evaluates reliability of materials, properties, and techniques and brings innovation, automation, and optimization to maximize productivity. Assists in the assessment of complex design features to identify potential flaws, compatibility issues, and/or compliance issues. Writes detailed technical documentation for hardware projects. Works independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Decision-making may affect work beyond immediate work group. Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey information. May require basic negotiation, influence, tact, etc. Must be outspoken and self motivated. Tasks require multiple steps which can be performed in various orders; some planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete the tasks effectively.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. 2+ years of experience in product development, ATE test, silicon validation, characterization, or high-volume production test for semiconductor products. Experience operating, validating, or debugging test programs on Automated Test Equipment used for silicon validation, characterization, or production test and AI applications. Experience with test hardware, test software, lab debug, schematic review, circuit simulation, or related product engineering activities. Experience using programming or scripting languages such as Python, C, C++, Java, Assembly, C#, .NET, embedded software, or similar languages. Experience using lab measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power supplies, time interval analyzers, or similar instruments.
