Job Summary
Position Overview The Trade Compliance & Logistics Manager provides essential operational support and strategic leadership for Palo Alto Networks' export/import compliance processes, global logistics workflows, and supply chain execution. Reporting directly to the Director, Trade Compliance and Logistics, this role requires active cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders (including Order Fulfillment, Sales Operations, Service Logistics, Legal, Facilities, and Engineering) and external partners (such as channel distributors, 3PL distribution centers, contract manufacturers, freight forwarders, and government regulatory agencies). The position requires deep practical expertise in global logistics practices, trade regulations, process automation, and operational management in a high-velocity technology environment. Key responsibilities encompass fulfillment program oversight, export licensing, risk assessments, automated workflow development, cross-functional playbooks, continuous process improvement, and team mentorship. Key Responsibilities & Core Functions Operational & Global Logistics Leadership Program Leadership: Independently lead non-technical operations for fulfillment and repair programs, including stabilizing contract manufacturer integrations and advancing the automated pick-up program. Distribution & SLA Management: Oversee and manage Service Level Agreements for distribution center and 3PL operations; monitor shipment progress and resolve complex export/import clearance issues through final delivery. Process Redesign & Quality Control: Redesign RMA receiving processes, establish clear cross-departmental Roles & Responsibilities (R&R), and enforce operational quality controls. End-of-Quarter (EOQ) Execution: Develop, refine, and execute operational improvements, including the EOQ burst capacity, and accelerate throughput, and maximize FTZ savings. Customer Experience & Logistics Optimization: Enhance pallet labeling, carton packaging, and freight processing across all transportation modes to optimize shipping efficiency and customer satisfaction. Export Management & Regulatory Compliance Export Compliance Program (ECP): Implement processes necessary for the support of the Export Compliance Program (ECP) Manual based on U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) guidelines and internal assessments. Documentation & AES Filings: Automate the creation and audit of compliant export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, etc.) in accordance with BIS and CBP regulations; manage Automated Export System (AES) entries. Sanctioned Party Screening & Research: Validate Sanctioned Party List screening results for shipment release authorization and perform entity
