About this role

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. We connect Google to the world of all its services and applications including Google Cloud, Search and YouTube. You will like the idea of implementing software solutions on networking technology that connect billions of users around the world, enabling their imagination by providing seamless, dependable connectivity. As a Technical Program Manager in Google Networking Technologies (GNT), responsibilities include leading cross-functional project initiatives that span organizational levels to facilitate the delivery of NPIs, network architectures, delivering new hardware and software features, and the orchestration of network migrations. This role entails collaborating with GNT engineering teams to formulate and articulate a long-term strategic vision, develop comprehensive roadmaps, engage cross-functional teams, and establish the development cadence for software systems and networking infrastructure. You will initiate new programs and be the catalyst for gaining support and driving them through completion. You will design and launch new processes, institute process improvements, and help program teams scale. And in doing so, you will improve Google’s ability to deliver network capacity on-time, with high availability and achieve maximum efficiency. Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $192000 - $278000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits Learn more about benefits at Google .

Collaborate with GNT and Core Engineering teams to develop and articulate long-term strategy and short-term plans, creating roadmaps, engaging teams and engineers, and setting the development pace. Manage core programs, including new NPIs, core architecture, and features/functions, to deliver new services by establishing measurable milestones, tracking deliverables, and delivering incremental customer value. Design and implement new process improvements and facilitate scaling for program teams. Navigate high levels of ambiguity to drive transformational change and systemic improvements, initiating organizational pivots with minimal disruption while addressing complex, large-scale challenges. Leverage technical judgment to drive project delivery, technology reviews, technical proposals, and consensus across cross-functional teams. Provide a strong quantitative analysis focus and translate the findings into recommendations and actionable plans.
