Law Enforcement Outreach Manager (Canada and Central America) - Trust and Safety

The Law Enforcement Operations team is a global function responsible for building and maintaining trusted relationships with law enforcement authorities across the world. This is done through strategic engagement with law enforcement authorities both on a proactive and reactive basis. The team also undertakes awareness-raising initiatives to educate and train authorities on our processes and policies regarding data disclosure and investigative support through a strict legal and privacy-focused framework.

As a Law Enforcement Outreach Manager, you will be the liaison officer to strategic law enforcement agencies in the Americas Region, with a specific focus on Canada and Central America. This position would entail frequent travel to countries in the region.

Responsibilities: - You'll work closely with legal and public policy teams to develop key partnerships between TikTok and strategic law enforcement agencies with a focus on Internet safety and security. - You'll develop proactive outreach programs to law enforcement agencies in AMS, to raise awareness on TikTok processes such as submissions of emergency data disclosure requests, other requests relating to data, and TikTok’s policies for protecting user privacy and responding to legal requests. - You'll support child safety and emergency response teams, and coordinate with internal investigation teams to develop referral processes for law enforcement agencies. - You'll work closely with our internal legal team and external counsel in responding to governmental requests for data.
