Consultative Offerings, Government & Public Services – Summer Scholar – Actuarial Join Deloitte’s Government & Public Services practice as a Summer Scholar and help organizations address complex challenges that matter. Work you'll do As a Summer Scholar in our Government & Public Services practice, you will be an integral member of a client service team, collaborating with diverse and talented team members to help solve multidimensional problems, improve performance, and generate value for our clients. Setting our people up for success is a priority, and we are currently recruiting Actuarial Summer Scholars whose skills and interests align with the below description: Actuarial Summer Scholar This Summer Scholar builds financial and mathematical models to improve organizational performance and support client decision-making. Analyzes large data sets using statistical methods to quantify risk and interpret trends. Advises clients on complex business problems by translating data-driven insights into actionable recommendations, while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Pursuing actuarial credentials through the Society of Actuaries, Casualty Actuarial Society, and/or the Joint Board for Enrollment of Actuaries.  A successful candidate would possess these skills: Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team Effective written and verbal communication skills Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work product Ability to build and sustain professional relationships Ability to lead projects or workstreams Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor Ability to meet deadlines Ability to provide clear guidance to others The team Deloitte’s Government & Public Services practice serves government agencies, higher education institutions, nonprofit organizations, and other public sector organizations. Required: Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Summer 2028 pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related/equivalent program Strong academic track record (3.0 cumulative GPA required) You must reside within a commutable distance (e.g. 100-mile radius) of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if required Ability to travel 50%, on
