Main responsibilities: Position Summary The Dairy Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Dairy Department to ensure outstanding customer service, product availability, inventory accuracy, merchandising excellence, and compliance with company standards. This role leads department associates, manages inventory levels, monitors product freshness, and supports sales growth while maintaining a clean, organized, and customer-focused department. Key Responsibilities Department Operations
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Dairy Department. Ensure dairy products are properly stocked, rotated, and merchandised according to company standards. Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal in-stock conditions. Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation. Ensure proper execution of promotions, seasonal programs, and merchandising initiatives. Leadership & Team Development
Supervise, train, and develop dairy associates. Assign daily tasks and monitor department productivity. Provide coaching, feedback, and recognition to support associate growth and performance. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, safety, and customer service excellence. Support hiring, onboarding, and training activities as needed. Customer Service
Deliver and promote exceptional customer service throughout the department. Assist customers with product selection and department inquiries. Resolve customer concerns and escalate issues when appropriate. Ensure associates provide prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable service. Inventory & Merchandising
Monitor product movement and inventory levels to reduce out-of-stocks and excess inventory. Ensure proper product rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices. Monitor and minimize shrink through effective inventory management. Verify pricing accuracy, promotional signage, and merchandising standards. Support ordering and replenishment activities to meet customer demand. Food Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company operating standards. Monitor product freshness, code dates, and temperature logs. Maintain accurate documentation related to food safety and inventory controls. Promote workplace safety and adherence to all company procedures. Assist with audits, inspections, and corrective action plans. Financial Performance
Support achievement of department sales, labor, and shrink goals. Analyze department performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Monitor waste reduction initiatives and inventory accuracy. Assist leadership in driving sales and profitability through strong department execution.
