Project Data Scientist and Analytics

Work You’ll Do As a Project Lead Analytics and Insights Engineer II on the project, you will: Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain production-grade applications, dashboards, reporting tools, and data-driven solutions that support command priorities and operational performance. Apply statistical analysis, machine learning, predictive modeling, and data visualization techniques to generate actionable insights and inform leadership decision-making. Develop and maintain data pipelines, databases, APIs, and analytics platforms, integrating data from multiple sources while ensuring data quality, governance, and security. Collaborate with leadership, technical teams, and stakeholders across the Surface Navy and partner organizations to translate operational requirements into scalable, reliable, and effective technical solutions. Advise senior leadership on data management strategies, software capabilities, performance metrics, and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with strategic objectives. Required : Bachelor’s degree Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future Active Secret security clearance required 8+ years of experience developing software solutions using Python, SQL, R, or comparable programming languages, with demonstrated ability to build and sustain production-grade applications and analytics tools. 5+ years of experience applying statistics, machine learning, predictive modeling, and advanced data analysis techniques to solve complex business or operational challenges. 5+ years of experience designing and maintaining data architectures, data pipelines, databases, APIs, and scalable cloud or enterprise data solutions. 4+ years of experience developing dashboards and visual analytics products using Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, or similar business
