Senior Solution Engineer - Data Security

As a Sr Solutions Engineer - Data Security within the Commercial Solutions Area, you will own the Data Security journey for our customers as the foundation of artificial intelligence. You will be fundamental in guiding and shaping customer success with a focus on ensuring secure, intelligent solutions at scale. You will collaborate closely with commercial organizations, serving as the one and only person who will own and drive data security strategy for South Africa, ensuring each customer’s data is protected and meets rigorous standards. You will leverage your deep technical expertise and industry knowledge to design, implement, and enable leading-edge solutions tailored to real-world security challenges. Applies advanced sales methodologies to guide customers through digital transformation solutions, underscoring security improvements and leveraging innovation to address evolving technology needs. Uses expertise in customer context, technical solutions, and industry best practices to build lasting credibility and act as a trusted advisor on security requirements. Leads and ensures complex technical wins by establishing effective engagement strategies, coaching others, and aligning Microsoft technologies with evolving sector standards. Demonstrates and oversees technical solution demonstrations, including architecture design sessions and proof of concept initiatives, positioning Microsoft solutions against competitors and ensuring reusability across the business. Builds competitive intelligence and shares insights to drive strategy and escalate competitive selling initiatives within the community.

Required/Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 4+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR 7+ years technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR equivalent experience.

8+ years technical pre-sales, technical consulting, or technology delivery, or related experience OR equivalent experience. 6+ years experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management. Certification in relevant technologies or disciplines (e.g., Office 365, Power BI, Azure Architect and Development exams, Cloud Platform Technologies, Information Security, Architecture) This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
