Job Summary
Senior Payroll Accountant Are you ready to take ownership of payroll accounting processes across the EAME region while driving accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement? Where You'll Make a Difference Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. Ensure payroll transactions are recorded in accordance with US GAAP and local accounting requirements. Partner closely with external payroll providers to understand payroll components and their accounting impact. Prepare and review payroll-related accruals, including vacation accruals, incentive plans, pensions, and other locally required accruals. Reconcile payroll-related balance sheet and profit & loss accounts and investigate variances. Support month-end close activities and ensure payroll-related reporting is completed accurately and on time. Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Human Resources, Payroll teams, and external auditors. Support compliance, controls, audit activities, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements where applicable. Drive process standardization, improve operational efficiency, and act as a senior point of reference within the accounting team. What Makes You the Right Fit Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in accounting, payroll accounting, or a related finance role. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and core accounting processes. Experience with month-end close activities, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data. Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail. Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills. A proactive mindset with the ability to identify issues, recommend solutions, and drive improvements. How Would You Stand Out? Experience working in a multinational or shared services environment. Knowledge of SAP or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Experience supporting audit processes and internal control frameworks. Why Choose Us?
