Shift time: Friday throuugh Sunday 5:00 PM - 5:00 AM About the role: Responsibilities include assignment planning, layout, set up and operating and making tool adjustments for a variety of conventional or automatic machines. Works from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions. Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances. May identify and repair minor machine malfunctions. Work Mode At Boston Scientific, we value collaboration and synergy. This role follows onsite work model, requiring employees to be in our local office five days per week. Relocation Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time. Reviews job packages by reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches or drawings to identify design impracticalities and begin to formulate production process. Clarifies design feasibility issues with engineers to ensure parts are machined to meet specifications. Determines sequence of operation, number and type of cuts required, and method of set-up. Prepares parts for machining, programs computer and milling machines, and operates variety of manual and automatic machines. Monitors parts through production by visual observation and referencing blueprints to ensure products meet specifications. Performs preventative maintenance tasks on machines. Repairs malfunctioning shop equipment and machines.
Required qualifications
2 years of experience with High School Diploma and/or equivalent experience, training, or apprenticeships
