About this role

What you’ll do: 
 The primary responsibility of this role is to design, simulate, develop, and validate high-power power electronic systems, including DC-DC converters, AC-DC converters, and inverters. The role involves end-to-end hardware development, circuit design and analysis, product verification, standards compliance, and integration of power electronic solutions into larger electrical systems while meeting customer performance, cost, reliability, and regulatory requirements.     Core Design & Development Design and develop high-power power electronic systems, including converters and inverters. Design AC-DC, DC-DC, and inverter topologies for various applications. Select and evaluate power semiconductor devices, gate drivers, modulation techniques, and output filters. Design high-frequency magnetic components such as transformers and inductors. Prepare detailed electrical schematics using computer-aided design and simulation tools. Simulation & Analysis Perform circuit simulations using tools such as PSpice, LTSpice, MATLAB/Simulink, PLECS, or equivalent. Conduct steady-state and transient analysis of power electronic circuits. Analyze analog and digital circuits for functionality and performance. Perform worst-case analysis, tolerance analysis, stress analysis, derating studies, and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).  Hardware Development & Testing  Execute the complete hardware development lifecycle from requirements through qualification and certification. Develop, build, debug, and test power electronic hardware prototypes. Perform verification, validation, and qualification testing. Conduct root cause analysis, failure investigations, and corrective action implementation to improve product reliability. System Integration Integrate power electronic subsystems into larger electrical and electronic systems. Ensure system compatibility, performance, reliability, and safe operation. Support product lifecycle activities through development, testing, and release phases. Compliance & Standards Support compliance with relevant industry standards and certification requirements. Apply knowledge of IEC, IEEE, CISPR, ISO, SAE, EMC, and EMI requirements during product development. Support certification, qualification, and regulatory approval activities. Project Execution Plan, organize, and execute assigned technical activities. Lead small technical projects and coordinate development tasks. Track progress and ensure timely completion of deliverables  Qualifications: 
 Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Electronics Engineering, or related field with 7-10 years experience. Master's Degree in Power Electronics and Drives Engineering with 5-7 years experiene. Skills: 
 Technical Skills & Expertise Power Electronics Strong expertise in inverter and converter design. In-depth understanding of AC-DC, DC-DC, and inverter topologies. Experience in switching device selection and gate driver design. Knowledge of modulation techniques and control strategies. Proven ability to design, optimize, and enhance power converter performance. Semiconductor Devices Good understanding of Silicon (Si), Silicon Carbide (SiC), and Gallium Nitride (GaN) power devices. Knowledge of the efficiency, thermal management, and performance advantages of advanced semiconductor technologies. Magnetics Design Experience in the design and development of high-frequency transformers and inductors. Expertise in magnetic material selection, design optimization, and performance evaluation. Circuit Design & Analysis Strong background in analog and digital circuit design. Ability to perform functional analysis of electrical circuits. Experience with steady-state and transient circuit analysis. Knowledge of stress, derating, tolerance, reliability, and life-cycle analysis. Familiarity with Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA). Simulation & Design Tools Hands-on experience with simulation and analysis
