Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Production Planning Supervisor. This role is located at our Jonesville, SC facility. No relocation assistance will be provided. The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year. Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. What you’ll do: The Production Planning Supervisor will be responsible for internal plant supply chain activities and will drive materials management best practices to achieve the sales and production schedules, meet customer requirements, align plant capacity, optimize the utilization of the workforce, and minimize manufacturing costs by assisting in cycle count, physical inventory processes, and internal materials replenishment strategy to meet inventory DOH and excess & obsolete management targets. In this role you will: Develop and maintain production schedules, coordinate purchasing needs, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous process improvements to optimize inventory levels, customer delivery requirements, and operational efficiency. Engage the production plan of the various materials, parts and subassemblies required by the plant. Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to mitigate material shortages Maintain and coordinate activities to ensure vital plant metrics, including but not limited to; customer on-time delivery, backlog, days on hand inventory and past due workorders/schedules Leverage the annual and monthly operating plans to determine appropriate objectives and performance expectations for the materials management team Work collaboratively with other leaders to effectively meet Supply Chain Team goals and objectives Lead production planning team in executing the master production schedule and related supply chain activities, including CTB process and a weekly production plan Lead annual physical inventory activities to ensure a successful and accurate inventory audit Train and educate the planning team on the use of supply chain management techniques, various business systems, varieties of reports and other related Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution OR high school diploma/GED with at least 10 years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment Five (5) years of experience in production planning, master scheduling or other Supply Chain related areas within a manufacturing environment. Five (5) years of experience in SAP ECC/MRP planning and/or scheduling modules Two (2) years of experience in a leadership role Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Preferred Qualifications
Master of Science degree in engineering, supply chain, or operations from an accredited institution APICS CSCP or CPIM certification Experience with shop floor inventory control or manufacturing operations optimization Demonstrated knowledge of institutional problem-solving tools/processes such as cycle time reduction and process improvement tools: six sigma DMAIC methodology, kaizen, DOE, pareto charts, statistical process control, process mapping, tree diagrams and root cause analysis Experience with using Microsoft Office Suite.
