Senior Sales Manager – U.S. Fund Administration Summary The Senior Sales Manager is a marquee growth role within Northern Trust’s U.S. Fund Administration business, responsible for originating and closing new business opportunities across traditional and alternative asset managers. The role requires a senior, market-facing professional who can win strategic mandates, shape client operating models, and serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders. Major Duties Originate and close new business mandates across institutional asset managers, private capital firms, and hedge funds Lead complex, multi-product sales pursuits across fund administration, investor services, custody, middle office, and capital markets solutions Serve as a trusted advisor across U.S. public and private fund structures including mutual funds, ETFs, CITs, hedge funds, private capital, and semi-liquid vehicles Develop targeted sales strategies aligned to growth, product evolution, and alternatives expansion trends Advise clients on operating model design, scalability, and distribution considerations across institutional and wealth channels Analyze client operating models and recommend scalable solutions spanning fund accounting, investor servicing, and data/reporting Lead end-to-end RFP processes, coordinating across product, operations, risk, finance, and legal teams Structure competitive commercial proposals and drive deal execution through close Expand client relationships through cross-sell opportunities and maintain strong market presence via industry engagement Experience/Skills 7–12+ years of institutional sales or business development experience in asset servicing, fund administration, or a related market Proven track record of winning complex mandates and leading multi-stakeholder RFP processes Direct experience in one or more of the following: ETFs (launches or conversions), alternatives (private capital or hedge funds), or semi-liquid fund structures Deep knowledge of the U.S. public and private funds ecosystem and asset management operating models Strong expertise across fund administration, investor servicing, custody, and middle office capabilities Ability to translate complex operating models into differentiated, commercially compelling client solutions Advanced sales, negotiation, and presentation skills with strong commercial judgment Executive presence with the ability to engage and influence C-suite, product heads, and senior decision-makers Strong collaboration skills across internal stakeholders including product, operations, and client coverage teams #LI-MG1 #Hybrid Salary Range: $164,600 - 288,000 USD Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay.
