About this role
Senior Product Experience Planner, Consumer Personal Systems Description - Job Summary We are seeking a senior experienced Product Experience Planner to lead product experience strategy for our Hardware Enablement organization. This senior individual-contributor role will define and drive the product stories of identified Consumer Hero products—connecting hardware innovation with compelling experiences, workflows, and usage scenarios that deliver clear customer value. The role will influence product direction, strengthen market differentiation, accelerate product success, and identify opportunities to expand TAM (Total Addressable Market). The successful candidate will work across product planning, design, engineering, marketing, business, and external technology partners to turn consumer insights and technical capabilities into differentiated product experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Product Experience Strategy Own and drive the key experience strategy for Consumer Hero products. Define compelling product stories that connect hardware capabilities with consumer needs, workflows, usage scenarios, and measurable benefits. Establish a clear experience vision and translate it into actionable requirements, priorities, and product deliverables. Identify unmet consumer needs, emerging behaviors, and new usage opportunities that can expand product relevance and market TAM. Ensure that experience strategies support the broader product portfolio, brand positioning, and business objectives. Innovation and Experience Development Lead the incubation of innovative product and experience concepts in partnership with hardware planners and cross-functional stakeholders. Translate consumer insights, market trends, and emerging technologies into differentiated experience opportunities. Guide ideation, concept development, journey mapping, workflow design, prototyping, and proof-of-concept validation. Define critical use cases and end-to-end workflows across hardware, software, services, and ecosystem touchpoints. Evaluate concepts based on consumer value, technical feasibility, business impact, scalability, and market potential. Hero Product Storytelling Develop and champion clear, differentiated narratives for Consumer Hero products. Articulate how product capabilities improve customer experiences, simplify workflows, and enable new usage scenarios. Partner with product marketing and business teams to ensure that product positioning and go-to-market narratives accurately reflect the intended experience. Create executive-level presentations, experience demonstrations, prototypes, and other materials that build organizational alignment. Serve as a trusted experience authority during strategic reviews and key product decisions. Cross-Functional Leadership Influence product direction working with product planning, design, research, engineering, technology, marketing, and business teams. Coordinate with external technology providers and ecosystem partners to identify and enable strategic experience opportunities. Facilitate alignment among stakeholders with different technical, design, and commercial priorities. Provide thought leadership, frameworks, and guidance to improve experience-planning practices across the organization. Mentor less-experienced planners and contribute to the development of the broader experience-planning discipline. Product Lifecycle Execution Integrate experience planning into product lifecycle milestones, from early exploration through development, launch, and post-launch optimization. Define experience-related deliverables, success criteria, dependencies, and decision points for each development phase. Track execution against the intended experience vision and resolve gaps that could affect product quality or consumer value. Partner with research and insight teams to validate concepts and measure experience performance.
