As an MRO Planner Buyer , you will be a key member of the Supply Chain organization, partnering with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Finance, and suppliers to ensure the timely procurement and planning of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) materials and services. Your work will help maintain uninterrupted operations, optimize inventory performance, and support Baxter's commitment to operational excellence.

Execute procurement and inventory planning activities using MRP/ERP systems and demand requirements. Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory. Support material review, disposition, and obsolete inventory management processes. Monitor supplier performance, lead times, quality, and pricing to ensure continuity of supply. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships that support quality, service, and cost objectives. Resolve supplier-related issues, including quality concerns, returns, and corrective actions. Support supplier negotiations and continuous improvement initiatives. Partner with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Finance teams to support business objectives. Ensure materials and services are available to support operational and maintenance requirements. Participate in initiatives focused on cost savings, process improvements, and supply chain optimization. Support operational readiness through proactive planning and issue resolution. Analyze inventory, supplier, and procurement data to identify opportunities for improvement. Support initiatives that improve inventory accuracy, supplier performance, and overall supply chain efficiency. Contribute to operational excellence projects that enhance service, quality, and cost performance.
What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, planning, procurement, or materials management within a manufacturing environment. Experience working with MRP/ERP systems and inventory planning processes. Knowledge of procurement, inventory management, materials planning, and supplier management processes. Experience with MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Understanding of inventory control principles and supply chain best practices. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to service and operational excellence. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to identify supply risks and proactively implement solutions. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish. CPIM, CPM, or related Supply Chain certification preferred. Knowledge of cGMP requirements and quality
