Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how the Purchasing Coordinator role will make an impact: Key responsibilities for this role include: Process purchase orders and track deliveries to ensure timely fulfillment of supply needs. Coordinate directly with purchase requisitioners to confirm specifications, quantities, and delivery timelines. Serve as contact for outside vendors. Maintain accurate procurement records. Maintain the laboratory’s chemical receipt inventory. Maintain attendance records. The minimum qualifications for this role are: Minimum of 0-2 years of experience. A bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration. Must possess knowledge of GxPs, Standard Operating Procedures, and pertinent Guidelines. Must possess knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles. Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and procurement programs. Must possess strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Must possess attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. Must be accurate and precise in data entry. Must possess proficient computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and procurement programs. Ability to read and interpret general business documents. Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence. Ability to work with peers and communicate basic concepts. Ability to perform computations such as percentages, ratios, and rates. Ability to solve practical problems through standardized solutions that require limited judgment. Ability to follow prescribed and detailed procedures to solve routine problems. Typically sitting at a desk or table. Intermittently sitting, standing, walking or stooping. May be required to stand; walk; stoop; bend; kneel; and climb steps. May require use of hands and use of arms. Sedentary lifting requirements. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Normal office situation with occasional time spent in the laboratory. Proficiency in speaking, comprehending, reading and writing English is required. Exact compensation may vary based on items such as skills, experience and location. The salary range for this position is: $37,000 - $80,000.
