In order to support the Electrical and Electronic Development Engineering Department, Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Junior Electrical Engineer / Design Responsible (d/f/m) Act as engineer at Equipment and Subsystem level during the life cycle of projects with the electrical engineering perimeter. Your tasks and responsibilities Requirements & Specifications : In-depth analysis of customer requirements and translation into precise specifications for electrical subsystems and equipment. System Architecture & Consistency : Ensuring end-to-end technical consistency and integration between the equipment level and the overarching subsystem level. Concept Development & Trade-offs : Elaboration of complex technical concepts and conducting trade-off analyses to find the optimal balance between the best technical solution and cost-effectiveness. Standardized Documentation : Generating essential technical documentation (e.g., electrical interfaces, technical budgets) strictly according to industry-specific space standards (e.g., ECSS). Design Reviews & Verification : Leading the preparation, execution, and support of critical design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, QR, FAR) and technically evaluating equipment verification closeouts. Technical Stakeholder Management : Autonomous management of technical interfaces, leading progress meetings, and driving technical negotiations with customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors. Risk & Program Coordination : Proactive identification and evaluation of technical risks in the E/E domain, definition of countermeasures, and holistic coordination of programmatic aspects across the project. Desired skills and qualifications Academic & Practical Experience : A University degree in Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering (or similar), backed by relevant, hands-on professional experience in the electrical engineering design domain. Specialized Technical Knowledge : In-depth expertise in an area such as: analogue and power design, digital design, or space-related communication networks. Language Requirements : Strong bilingual capability, featuring negotiation-level English alongside a solid, reliable command of the German language. Professional Work Ethic : A highly structured and proactive working style, supported by a practical "hands-on" mentality and excellent time management. Stakeholder Communication & Assertiveness : Determined and clear communication skills with the ability to assert oneself confidently when collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
