The Strategic Defense Solution (SDS) team in Binghamton, NY is seeking a highly motivated candidate for the Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Manager position. This individual will lead a multidisciplinary engineering team responsible for the design, development, integration, and support of mechanical and electrical systems across our product portfolio for Department of Defense programs. This role ensures strong technical execution, effective project leadership, and alignment with organizational priorities, delivering high-quality engineering solutions that meet performance, safety, cost, and schedule requirements – directly enables mission success. Collaboration & Cross‑Functional Partnership • Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Program Management to support new products, equipment upgrades, and process improvement initiatives. • Translate technical requirements into actionable plans understood across disciplines. • Build strong relationships to enable efficient problem solving and project execution. • Partner with peers and leadership to plan and execute broader departmental and strategic initiatives. Operational Execution & Project Management • Manage resource allocation, schedules, and priorities across multiple engineering projects. • Own engineering execution ensuring deliverables/scope meet cost, performance, and timeline objectives, with direct involvement in project planning, Earned Value Management (EVM), and risk management activities. • Apply structured project management methods to maintain transparency and predictable outcomes.
