Job Description AECOM is seeking a talented and motivated GIS Specialist II to join our Digital Solutions team. The successful candidate will support infrastructure, water, utilities, and environmental projects through GIS database development, spatial analysis, dashboard creation, and GIS-CAD integration. This role requires strong expertise in ArcGIS Pro, GIS data management, cartography, and spatial analytics, along with experience in preparing and managing engineering drawings and geospatial datasets. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with GIS technologies, data visualization, and digital engineering workflows, enabling project teams to make informed decisions through accurate spatial intelligence and interactive reporting tools. Job Duties Develop, maintain, and manage GIS databases and geospatial datasets using ArcGIS Pro . Perform spatial data processing, analysis, validation, and quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC). Process and analyze satellite imagery and Digital Elevation Models (DEM) for terrain analysis, feature extraction, and integration into project workflows. Produce high-quality cartographic products, thematic maps, and technical GIS deliverables in accordance with project standards. Design, develop, and maintain ArcGIS Dashboards and other web-based GIS applications for project monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. Create, update, and manage spatial drawings using AutoCAD Map 3D . Support preparation of utility, infrastructure, environmental, and topographic drawings while ensuring compliance with client and project requirements. Integrate GIS data with CAD and engineering datasets to support multidisciplinary project delivery. Collaborate with engineers, planners, scientists, and project teams to develop geospatial solutions for infrastructure and environmental challenges. Prepare technical documentation, metadata, data standards, and GIS procedures. Assist in the implementation and enhancement of GIS workflows, automation initiatives, and digital delivery strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline. 3-5 years of professional experience in GIS and CAD-related roles. Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro for GIS database management, analysis, and cartographic production. Experience with ArcGIS Dashboards , QGIS , and AutoCAD Map 3D . Strong understanding of spatial data models, coordinate systems, geodatabases, and geospatial data management principles. Experience in spatial analysis, data validation, and QA/QC processes. Strong analytical, communication, and technical documentation skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. Additional
