Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Analyst Applications (Disaster Recovery Operations Analyst I) to join our India Cybersecurity Support team - CAT IT Division. The preference for this role is to be based out of Bangalore – Caterpillar PSN This position requires candidate to work a 5-day -a -week schedule. Shift Timing: 01:00-10:00PM IST Role Purpose The Disaster Recovery (DR) Operations Analyst I supports the organization's resilience and recovery program by maintaining recovery documentation, assisting with testing activities, and contributing to operational readiness. This entry-level role provides foundational experience in disaster recovery, operational resilience, and technology risk management.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain disaster recovery plans, inventories, contact lists, and supporting documentation. Assist in planning and executing disaster recovery tests and annual recovery exercises. Track remediation actions, risks, issues, and recovery readiness activities. Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and support teams to collect and validate recovery information. Monitor compliance with established disaster recovery standards and procedures. Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentation materials for governance meetings. Participate in recovery exercises and document lessons learned and improvement opportunities. Escalate identified gaps, risks, and issues to senior team members. Support audit, compliance, and governance activities.
Required Skills
Strong organizational and documentation capabilities. Basic knowledge of IT infrastructure, applications, and technology services. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to follow structured processes and analyze information. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams. Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Degree, diploma, apprenticeship, or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business, or a related discipline. Foundational understanding of Disaster Recovery (DR), Business Continuity (BC), or Operational Resilience concepts. Awareness of IT Service Management (ITSM) principles. Interest in technology risk and resilience management. Success Measures Recovery documentation remains current and accurate. Recovery testing activities are completed on schedule.
