Job Title: Expeditor Location: Richmond What we are looking for: The Expeditor’s primary job is to organize orders so that packers can pack and ship on time. They will also work with Procurement and Production Control to determine a reasonable rate and to coordinate the timing and means of delivery. What you will be responsible for in this role:
Create Return Material Authorizations to initiate the return of non-compliant material. Create and maintain relationships with Procurement to ensure On Time Delivery standards are maintained. Work with various departments to manager exceptions when material will not be delivered on time. Report out on exceptions where material will be late with appropriate departments. Track orders from placement through delivery. Maintain daily and weekly reports tracking due in shipments and monitoring exceptions. Ensure the appropriate goods are delivered in a timely manner according to Production Schedule. Use AS400 daily to investigate orders and to move orders that are ready to pack to the packer bucket. Maintain good housekeeping and wear all necessary PPE Complete assemblies as needed Other material delivery and reporting duties as issued by Supervisor
What are the basic qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Basic mathematical skills and computer skills Some experience in a manufacturing or delivery setting Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Good interpersonal skills for working with various departments as well as vendor representatives Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
What are the preferred qualifications
Experience communicating with cross functions and vendors. Previous experience working with freight carriers Experience with AS400.
