We are seeking an experienced BDM Director to support the growth of the High Net Worth (HNW) business across multiple distribution channels, including international brokers and bancassurance partnerships. This role is responsible for driving HNW business growth through active engagement with frontline distribution stakeholders (e.g., IB consultants, insurance specialists, relationship managers), supporting business activation, partnership onboarding, and commercial pipeline development across assigned markets. The BDM Director acts as a key on-the-ground distribution lead, coordinating closely with internal stakeholders to support complex cases, resolve distributor issues, and drive business momentum for the HNW proposition.
Key Responsibilities
Distributor Engagement & Business Development Drive HNW business growth across assigned distribution channels and support achievement of sales targets Build and maintain strong working relationships with frontline distribution stakeholders (e.g., IB consultants, insurance specialists, relationship managers, and other distributor representatives) Support distribution activation, sales engagement, and pipeline development activities across assigned accounts and markets Maintain regular engagement with distribution stakeholders to identify opportunities, unblock issues, and support ongoing business activity Partnership Onboarding & Distributor Enablement Support onboarding and activation of new distribution partners and broker relationships Coordinate onboarding requirements, training, and operational readiness activities across internal stakeholders Support distributors through onboarding and initial case execution phases Distributor Advisory & Training Provide professional advisory support to distributor partners on capability, process, and business-related enquiries Conduct distributor training sessions and support partner capability building on HNW propositions Support distributors in identifying business opportunities and pipeline development initiatives Market Intelligence & Strategic Planning Review market intelligence report developed by the BDM Associate Director / team, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to support new business development initiatives and distribution strategy discussions Gather distributor feedback and market insights to support business planning and proposition refinement Sales Enablement & Marketing Initiatives Develop marketing strategies, distributor engagement approaches, and marketing initiatives to support business growth Support execution of distributor campaigns and activation strategies to enhance broker engagement and sales performance Cross-functional Case Orchestration Coordinate with Case Management, Underwriting, Compliance, Claims, and Operations teams to support distributor requests and complex case execution Facilitate resolution of cross-functional issues impacting distributors or customer outcomes Escalate material commercial, operational, or servicing issues as appropriate Team Management Manage and provide guidance to the BDM Associate Director / other team members in designated region Support capability development and execution consistency across the team Requirements & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent More than 10 years of working experience Experience supporting HNW/UHNW insurance solutions, including trust arrangements, premium financing, and wealth transfer planning Strong understanding of HNW distribution ecosystems, including international
