Divisional Vice President / Business Manager Location: Singapore Division: MRO Europe Division Position Summary The Divisional Vice President / Business Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, strategic direction, and financial performance of the Singapore MRO Business Unit within the AMETEK MRO Europe Division. This role carries full Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability and is responsible for driving sustainable growth, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and employee development. The successful candidate will develop and execute the Business Unit's strategic plan, aligned with AMETEK's four growth drivers: Operational Excellence, New Product Development, Global and Market Expansion, and Strategic Acquisitions. Key Responsibilities Business Leadership & Strategy
Develop and execute the Business Unit's strategic and operational plans. Lead day-to-day business operations while maintaining a long-term strategic perspective. Drive business growth through market expansion, customer acquisition, operational improvements, and strategic initiatives. Partner with divisional leadership teams across Europe and North America to align business objectives and best practices.
Financial & Commercial Management
Maintain full P&L responsibility for the Singapore MRO Business Unit. Deliver revenue, profitability, cash flow, and working capital targets. Develop and manage annual operating plans, forecasts, and budgets. Identify opportunities to improve margins, increase productivity, and reduce costs while maintaining high service standards. Lead pricing strategy, competitive analysis, and commercial decision-making.
Operations & Continuous Improvement
Drive operational excellence across manufacturing, repair, and support functions. Improve performance metrics including on-time delivery, productivity, quality, inventory management, and customer satisfaction. Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives including Kaizen, 5S, Kanban, SIOP, and Visual Management systems. Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, health, and safety standards.
Product & Market Development
Improve product and service development processes through market analysis and strategic planning. Support innovation and growth initiatives through effective project management and Design for Six Sigma methodologies. Identify new market opportunities and emerging customer requirements.
Leadership & Talent Development
Lead, develop, and motivate a high-performing leadership team. Oversee recruitment, succession planning, performance management, and employee development activities. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Build strong relationships with employees, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Technology & AI Adoption
Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
Qualifications & Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or a related field. Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience. Minimum 5 years in a senior executive role with direct P&L responsibility. Aerospace industry experience is essential. Strong track record leading engineering, manufacturing, and operational functions. Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, competitive analysis, and business growth initiatives. Strong financial and commercial acumen, preferably within a publicly traded company environment. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership
