What You Will Do
Performs a variety of electrical/mechanical tests on prototype and production circuit boards/units/systems to determine performance to specifications and identify malfunctions or failure. Conducts all types of tests and troubleshooting required to meet all specifications to include the following: Environmental Stress Screening Automated Test Equipment through-put Manual Test Equipment through-put Performs maintenance on all electrical/mechanical equipment used in the production process. Performs testing using DMM, oscilloscope, frequency generators, high frequency power supplies, spectrum analyzer, etc. Performs general maintenance duties (excluding electrical) throughout the facility required to keep production processes operational. Works with engineers to correct design and test methods to improve the performance of the product and/or process. In addition, may perform the following: perform RF tuning, tack solder test selects, lift axial leads, remove simple solder shorts, clip leads, touch up post coat, and reassemble and seal the unit (only when no repair actions are taken by the technician). Maintains records and completes necessary paperwork. Responsible for general clean-up of the work area. Collect, document, and report on tests performed. Evaluate test results. Able to read complex electronic schematics, analyze circuits and follow written work instructions. Employ a comprehensive knowledge of electronic theory. Basic troubleshooting and problem solving. Capability of working independently as well as in a group setting. May be required to stand for long periods of time. Must meet necessary visual requirements to perform this job. Must be capable of lifting and/or handling heavy parts, material, or equipment up to 25 lbs. This is a 1st shift role. Must be willing and able to work 1st shift. This is a 100% onsite role.
Qualifications
You Must Have U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. Requires HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required. Must pass the Certified Electronics Technician Associate (CETa) exam from Electronics Technicians Association – International (ETA-I). Must be willing and able to work 1st shift. Must have ability to read complex electronic schematics, analyze circuits and follow written work instructions.
